Solano Center for Business Innovation

The Center for Business Innovation is a public/private partnership of businesses, non-profits, and individuals who believe that Solano County can build a future that balances the needs of businesses, residents, and nature.  The goal of the Center is to further establish Solano County as a leader in clean technology by providing education, information, and opportunities for collaboration to and for local businesses and individuals.  To become a member, visit the Center's website and fill out an application!

California Registry is a voluntary greenhouse gas (GHG) registry that promotes early actions to reduce GHG emissions by organizations. The California Registry develops and promotes GHG reporting standards and tools for organizations to measure, monitor, third-party verify, and reduce their GHG emissions consistently across industry sectors. California Climate Action Registry is a private non-profit organization originally formed by the State of California.
Highlights how AB32 might impact Small Businesses. This toolkit also outlines steps businesses can take to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, including no- and low-cost actions.
CalMAX is a program run by the State of California to help businesses and industry find markets for nonhazardous materials.
An ENERGY STAR qualified facility meets strict energy performance standards set by EPA and uses less energy, is less expensive to operate, and causes fewer greenhouse gas emissions than its peers.


Solano Saves Water - Commercial Rebates

The Solano County Water Agency offers rebates to help businesses reduce water use and their monthly water bills. Rebates include: turf replacement, irrigation system upgrades, and plumbing fixtures.

Energy Star is a federal program that offers free, unbiased information and technical support to help businesses reduce their energy costs and improve their bottom line.
Energy Star’s Guide for Small Businesses is a comprehensive guide to analyzing and upgrading your facility. This guide contains information for both building own and tenants.
Climate Leaders is an EPA industry-government partnership, in which partners establish GHG reduction goal and report their progress to the EPA, creating lasting record of their accomplishments.
Since 1991, the Spare the Air Employer Program has worked with employers across the Bay Area to efficiently and effectively notify their employees of high pollution days.
